• If there is no copyright notice on it, it’s not copyrighted.
• If there is no trademark notice on it, it’s not protected by trademark laws.
• If you give a copy of software to your brother and don’t charge him for it, it’s ok.
• It’s fair use to photocopy an article for your research file at work.
• Most companies copyright their names.
• Most companies patent their names.
• If you don’t copy your invention from someone else, it’s not patent infringement.
• If you don’t copy your software from someone else, it’s not copyright infringement.
